Episode 22 - My Occurance

Dr. Cox’s (John C. McGinley) friend and former brother-in-law Ben Sullivan (Brendan Fraser) is at the hospital to have a two-by-four removed from his hand. Ben is Jordan’s brother (Christa Miller), but he sided with Cox in the divorce and they’ve remained good friends every since.

Later, Turk (Donald Faison) and Elliot (Sarah Chalke) run into close calls with their patients. Turk almost removes a testicle from the wrong patient and Elliot tells her patient Jill (Nicole Sullivan), who was hospitalized a while ago for a nervous breakdown and exhaustion, that she’s pregnant. Unfortunately, she and her fianc? haven’t slept together yet. It turns out that the lab switched urine samples, so she really isn’t pregnant after all.

J.D.’s (Zach Braff) patient unexpectedly turns out to be Ben himself. Ben’s hand wound begins to bleed while he, J.D., and Dr. Cox are hanging out at a bar playing pool. This raises a red flag with the doctors. Dr. Cox runs some tests at the hospital the next day.

J.D. gets the test results back - it’s Leukemia.
